St. Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold sees the girls return for a new term at the eponymous academy, with all the usual hi-jinks and mayhem with which that entails. This being a school where anything seems to happen and usually does, on a regular basis, the students soon find themselves thrown into an action-packed treasure hunt that will see them fighting off fierce competition for the coveted Fritton’s Gold from establishment rivals and the mischievous Pomfrey and his assortment of woman-hating sidekicks.
St Trinian’s is back….and it’s a mess!
The first St. Trinian’s wasn’t a bad film at all but it was nowhere near good. The jokes were hit-and-miss, the story was hit-and-miss and the acting was…you get the picture. The question is, did St. Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold improve from the first movie. The answer is a big, fat no. The story was really boring and uninteresting, the characters were poorly written, the jokes were hardly funny, the writing was absolutely poor and unrealistic, the first wasn’t very realistic either but it was so much more realistic than this sequel. The acting wasn’t too bad which is the only positive thing I can think for this movie. Without a doubt, the worst thing about this movie is the last fifteen to twenty minutes, I didn’t know whether to be offended or to hate it. I think I was more offended that somebody actually let this film be released in the cinemas and the ending was the most ridiculous ending I have ever seen to a movie. Everything about this movie is just so terrible, don’t waste an hour and forty-six minutes of your life on this tripe because it is guaranteed to lose brain cells!
I wasn’t joking about that last sentence, you actually will lose brain cells. I know that this movie isn’t for me but for the audience of younger teenage girls but if they believe the ending, it would be worrying. It was absolutely ridiculous. I expected a silly movie and I wasn’t going to take it seriously but this offends every sense. Everything about this movie is absolutely horrible, just watch the first movie and skip this.
A pointless sequel that shouldn’t have been made. Young teenage girls will love this but everyone else probably wouldn’t. Avoid or risk losing brain cells!
